Whether you have a basic cell phone that supports text messaging or a smart phone with a plan that includes web browsing, you can stay connected to your finances from where ever you are, with our two Mobile Banking offerings.
So what do you need, quick access to your account balance?
Then Mobile Banking – Text is for you. It is safe, secure and doesn’t require you to sign in or provide a PIN number. Using any phone that has texting capabilities you can text a command to MONEY(66639). For example:
- BAL for the balance of your primary account
- BAL ALL for the balance of all your accounts
- ACT for the account activity (last 5) on your primary account
- HELP for the complete list of available commands.
So how do you get started? You need access to MemberDirect online banking. Contact your branch and request to be set up. If you already have access then simply sign-on, click on the My Profile tab and then choose Mobile Banking from the list on the left hand side. From there register any phones you want accessing your accounts and also what accounts you want accessed.

What if you want to do more, for example transfer funds or pay bills remotely?
Then Mobile Banking – Web is for you. Now you can enjoy 24-hour access to your online banking through MemberDirect Mobile Web, using any mobile device that provides internet access.
MemberDirect Mobile Web does not require downloading or installing of any application and is designed to work using a web browser, with the same high level of security offered by MemberDirect Online banking.
MemberDirect Mobile Web provides convenient and secure access to a full range of banking functions available on MemberDirect, including:
- View account balances and transaction history
- Bill payment
- Funds transfer.
To access MemberDirect Mobile Web, from you phone go to the www.peoplescu.ca web site. Click on the “Mobile Web Banking” icon in the top right corner of the home page. Once you have done this once you can bookmark the Mobile Web URL for convenient future access.
If you already enjoy MemberDirect Online Banking access then just choose your branch, enter your account number and PIN and you are signed in. If you don’t currently have internet banking access please contact your branch and request to be set up.
